Skyrail, Kuranda And 2hr Atv Tour After your hotel pickup we travel to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your memorable journey up the Kuranda Range taking in the spectacular views over the Cairns’ Northern Beaches. There are two stops on your journey for you to enjoy the rainforest and wildlife. You will then be able to enjoy a leisurely visit to the sleepy little village of Kuranda where you will find many stalls and handicrafts. Perhaps visit the Koala Gardens, Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or Birdworld Kuranda. There are numerous restaurants, café’s and hotels for lunch (at own cost). In the afternoon you will be transferred to the top of Barron Falls where you will explore the magnificent rainforest and creeks on an easy-to-ride automatic ATV under the direction of your personal tour guide. You will discover some of the tallest and oldest rainforest in the world, visit Australia’s largest remaining Durian plantation and exotic fruit orchard with fruit tasting when in season. You will learn about the property’s early pioneering history and have the chance to see native wildlife with eight resident cassowaries. All tours include familiarisation and training on the bikes before commencement and inexperienced riders and children from 10 years and up are welcome. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Kuranda and Cairns Aquarium including Lunch. Join this small-group day trip to Kuranda as you travel by the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda to enjoy a leisurely stroll around the shops and markets before sitting down for an enjoyable lunch with tea or coffee at the award winning Frog's Restaurant . After lunch we journey down the Kuranda Range to the Cairns Aquarium where you will discover all manner of underwater sea life from coral to seahorses, sharks to stingrays, after which you will be transported back to your hotel. Details: After your pickup from your hotel in Cairns or Northern Beaches, head towards the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway terminal at Smithfield where you will begin your memorable journey up the Kuranda Range taking in the spectacular views over Cairns' northern beaches and our World Heritage Rainforest. There are two stops on your journey for you to enjoy the rainforest and wildlife as well as get a birds eye view over Barron Falls. Your local guide will be at the skyrail terminal in Kuranda to transfer you the short distance to Kuranda Village where you can have a leisurely wander around the markets and shops. After lunch we will travel down the Kuranda Range to Cairns Aquarium, proudly displaying ten amazing North Queensland ecosystems from the world’s most ancient rainforest to the world’s largest coral reef to discover 70 different exhibits showcasing the rare and incredibly unique species of this region. Endangered Freshwater Sawfish, Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks and Humphead Maori Wrasse dominate the massive freshwater and marine habitats, while Amethystine Pythons and Emerald Tree Monitors make a spectacle of themselves in their terrestrial displays. There are two stops on your journey for you to enjoy the rainforest and wildlife. You will then be able to have a short visit in the sleepy little village of Kuranda where you will find many markets and handicrafts stalls. We then travel to Jaques Coffee Plantation in Mareeba, a working coffee farm, where you will enjoy a guided tour of the plantation followed by a delicious lunch with coffee or tea. (Please note that Jaques will be closed during the month of February each year so an alternative venue will be used.) A few minutes away in Mareeba is the Mareeba Heritage Museum where you can step back in time and learn about the history of the Atherton Tablelands. To round off the day we will stop off at Emerald Creek Ice-Creamery where you can partake in your choice of one of their handmade ice creams. Transport to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your journey up to the top of the Tablelands to Kuranda.
